GG Allin & The MC2 a.k.a. the MotorCity Badboys) were Wayne Kramer and Dennis Thompson of MC5. They backed up GG Allin on the 1981 single Gimme Some Head/Dead Or Alive/Occupation.

The Severed Alliance New EP 2009

Ok wicked just got the new Severed Alliance E.P and i've heard all there E.Ps now and they just get stronger and stronger each time, Now if we look at the development of the band they have had a duel guitarists on the last E.P so now they been albe
to learn how each other tick and get that really shelley/diggle style combo.



This is Your Knife

Proper knocks in with a catchy riff and throws it all together into one nice jiggly jaggly punk song with loads of little
clever contemporary stops and starts.

Rant

Nice build up song with flowing in and out of guitar sounds bass and guitar holding it all together

Hero No More

This Song reminds me of something but i cant think of it, its got a real post punk feel to it, nice piece of drumming on
this track, the verse is a build to a really expolsive chorus.

Snort Britain

Dunno if this song is about a nation of cokeheads or not haha but this kinda captures the roots of the band done in
in a new way

overall i would say this is a only a 4 track e.p but QUALITY OVER QUANTITY! its been mixed so well with some really powerful songs the band are really at a point with this!

The Ramrods

Again another fucking awesome band i found this week i was listening to The Richmond Sluts then checked some there live videos on youtube and they do a cover of Ramrod and thats how i discovered the Ramrods.



There From Detriot and got that kinda MC5/New York Dolls/Stooges feel about them but much more raw sound but keeping the catchy hooks.

Oh my daze.......I was just randomly searching some of my albums and i FUCKING FOUND THIS! never listened to it before and its FUCKING AWESOME. i love the rough production and the FUCKING raw guitar!! with these wicked short fast songs



There a mid 90s band from germany, i dont know too much about them but they got a myspace page and theres some stuff on last.fm about them.

The Rings - I Wanna Be Free 7"

I had a bit of trouble tracking this one down.. its quite a rare 7" off chsiwick records from 1977 featuring Twink on vocals from The Pink Faries & Alan Lee Shaw on Guitar who was later in The Maniacs with the remaining members of this band & The Physicals.



I fought this was the only record they released but on ebay at the moment theres a live set from one there shows at the 100 club. so if anyone gets that be sure to rip it!

The Pirates

Once the backing band of Johnny Kidd back in the 60's Johnny Spence, Mick Green and Frank Faley decided to reform as a R&R /R&B 3 piece knocking out loud enegetic, loud, fast numbers at the hight of punk in the late 70s.



Mick Greens unique rhyham and lead at the same time guitar playing when on to inspire such players as Wilko Johnson and many others.

VA - Novi Punk Val

Now this is a seriously good compilation album of all the early Punk and New Wave bands of The Former Yugoslavia released in 1980 its covers the scene from 1978-1980 featuring some great bands like Pekinska Patka, Pankrti, Paraf, Indust Bag etc, It was released on the ZKP RTLJ label which was a major label in the country doing re-releeses of Bruce Springsteen to The Jam at the time.

This album is hard to come by last week a orginal first print i saw it on ebay and it when for about 100 quid.

Pekinska Patka recently reformed for the Exit Festival in Serbia and they stand out as long term heroes over there.
